Assistant Project Manager
Location: Manhattan, NY (On-site)
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Up to $105,000 per year (depending on experience)
About the Role
A boutique, fast-growing high-end residential builder is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join its close-knit Manhattan team. This is a rare early-career opportunity to work across two flagship, design-led residential projects at the highest level — the kind of work often featured in design and architectural press.
You’ll work directly alongside a highly experienced Senior Project Manager, receiving hands-on mentorship and structured support as you develop your career. The role offers genuine exposure to the full project lifecycle within a small, high-performing team where your contribution will be visible from day one.
Please note: This is a junior, development-focused role. You don’t need extensive experience, but you should be motivated, detail-oriented, and genuinely interested in high-end residential construction. Any exposure to premium residential projects, architecture, or interior design environments is a plus. Attitude and cultural fit are just as important as experience in this team.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Senior Project Manager across two high-end residential projects.
- Assist with scheduling, budgeting, documentation, submittals, and procurement.
- Coordinate communication between trades, subcontractors, architects, and designers.
- Track site progress and help ensure work stays on program and meets quality standards.
- Support day-to-day project delivery within a small, collaborative team environment.
- Gain hands-on exposure to the full construction project lifecycle.
What We’re Looking For
- Early-career candidate with a strong interest in project management within high-end residential construction.
- Some exposure to construction, architecture, or interior design is beneficial but not essential.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with clients, trades, and consultants.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and strong team mentality.
- Comfortable working on-site in Manhattan on a daily basis (typically 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM).
Why Apply
- Direct mentorship from an experienced Senior Project Manager.
- Structured progression plan with clear opportunities for growth as the business expands.
- Early involvement in two flagship, design-led residential projects.
- Small, collaborative team with a strong culture and supportive environment.
- Fair and flexible compensation aligned to experience and contribution.
- Leadership that values ideas, encourages initiative, and actively supports development.
- A rare opportunity to learn high-end residential construction at the highest level.
